About us

Every Christmas has someone behind the magic.

Meet the people behind TextSanta, and why we made it.

Why we made TextSanta

I've loved Christmas for as long as I can remember. My mom and dad worked hard to make it magic for my brother and me, and my brother still loves that magic more than anyone I know. Those Christmases are some of the memories I hold onto most.

TextSanta is for the grown-ups who keep that magic going now: the ones who leave out the cookies and keep the story alive. Santa is one more helper on your side. He only texts the numbers you sign up with or add. You can see and change what he remembers at any time, and your family's data is yours.

I've spent my career building technology companies. I started Imaginary to make things that bring more storytelling and wonder into everyday life, a chance to feel like a kid again. TextSanta is our first.

Before we even opened, families wrote in on Facebook, Instagram and email to say how much a little magic means to them right now. That's who we're building for. If TextSanta gives one family a Christmas they'll remember, it was worth it.

If anything isn't right, write to santa@textsanta.ai. A real person reads every note.

For the ones who leave out the cookies.

Someone always ate the cookies. You never saw who, and that was the whole point. We made this short film for every grown-up who keeps that magic going.

Your Santa, your way

Just as jolly as you remember. Exactly the way you want him.

Every family's Santa is a little different. You set him up in the Parent Portal, and you can change any of it, any time. Try it:

What are you up to tonight, Santa?

  • His voice, when you want it

Send Santa a voice memo and he can answer in his own voice. Turn that on or off any time.

  • Your names, said right

Hear how Santa says each name in your family, and fix it if he's a little off.

  • No promises you'd have to keep

Santa won't promise a gift you haven't planned. His replies are reviewed for things like that, and rewritten when one slips in.

  • You see what he remembers

Correct anything Santa knows about your family, tell him to forget it, or pause him whenever you need a break.

Family data is encrypted at rest and in transit, never sold, and never sent to advertising platforms. Santa only texts the phone numbers you signed up with or added, and texting STOP ends every message.

Every wonder starts out imaginary.

TextSanta is the first venture from Imaginary, a company that builds AI products, characters and worlds: more storytelling, more fun, and a little more magic in everyday life.
